Lucas told SOHH that the mishandling of Trick Daddy’s last album caused a rift between them and the rapper has requested for Slip-N-Slide to let him loose. "He has asked to be released from the label," Lucas said. "We are in the process of making that decision; most likely Trick will no longer be on Slip-N-Slide going forward." Trick Daddy’s success in the early 90’s helped jumpstart Slip-N-Slide. The label currently houses Trina , Rick Ross and Plies , among others. Rick Ross is slated to release his sophomore album Trilla in December while Trina will drop herelatest album next year.
Slip-N-Slide CEO, Ted Lucas, recently revealed that the label’s standout rapper Trick Daddy will be leaving the Miami based label in the coming weeks.
