The rapper and three associates were arrested during a photo shoot and subsequently sued the New York Police Department for false arrest and excessive force. A portion of the settlement will be donated to the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement to prevent further police misconduct, reports MTV.com.
Dead Prez star Stic.man has received more than $50,000 in settlement fees from the city of New York for false arrest and excessive force, according to his attorney.
