Female Mc's have always been in the shadow of male Mc's who claim to write their rhymes for their female side kicks.Kim has long lived in the late Biggie' shadow. This time around Kim shows she could hold it down on her own.She takes back to the old school with "Hold it Down" featuring Mobb Deep's Havoc which just shows Kims maturing as an Mc. The lead single "The Jump Off," which features Mr. Cheeks, is classic Kim—deliciously raunchy, raw, and real. Whether Kim is parodying R. Kelly ("This Is a Warning") or teaming with "it-rapper" 50 Cent ("Magic Stick"), she pulls no punches.

With few female MCs stepping to the plate,Kim isn't afraid to hang with the big boys as she goes raw, line for line on "Get in Touch with us" featuring Styles P &"Thug Luv" feat Twista. She isn't afraid to show her discomfort with her former rhyming buddy Lil Ceaser, foes, & ex boyfriends on  "Heavenly Father".  Female Mc's in the game like Eve & Foxy  get it hard on the Kanye West produced "I Came Back for You" and she goes bananas on her posse cut "The Beehive".

This album is almost the first classic by a female Mc..pay attention to the word ..almost ..because Kim messes up a near to  perfect album by doing weak joints like "Shake ya Bum Bum" and "Can you hear me now"..plus some other joints which you cant help but skip..i wonder if leaked underground joints like "What's the Word" would actually make the album better..not to shit on Kim..this effort is so much better than her sophmore effort  Notorious Kim..this is an album worthwhile for any hip hop listener or Lil Kim fan..

Satisfying Album
