Makeda Barnes-Joseph, the woman who shot in the abdomen by Remy Ma outside a Manhattan nightspot last year, has filed a $10 million lawsuit against the rapper.

As reported earlier, Remy Ma was sentenced to eight years behind bars in May for the shooting which occurred outside The Pizza Bar in Manhattan in 2007.

The two women were arguing over money that Remy claimed was taken from her purse by Barnes-Joseph.

According to TMZ, Barnes-Joseph's lawsuit also targets The Pizza Bar and Remy’s record labels, Universal Music Group and Sure Shot Recordings.

Joseph claims that that the record labels encouraged and promoted Remy’s violent behavior which subsequently lead to the shooting.

Joseph also claims that The Pizza Bar also contributed to her shooting by continuing to supply Remy Ma with alcoholic beverages even though she was "visibly intoxicated".
