Rap Chart Movement: Bun B Is Still King, Lupe Goes Gold & Lil Wayne Shakes Things Up

For the third week in a row, Bun B holds the No. 1 spot on Billboard's 'Top Rap Albums Chart'.

II Trill shelved off 23,900 discs this week, pushing the album's total sales to 162,500 copies.

The Flobots stay put at No. 2 as Fight With Tools shifts 17,100 units this week.  After 11 weeks on the chart, the album has sold 91,700.

Rick Ross holds it down at No. 3.  Trilla scans 13,400 discs this week, bringing the album's total sales to 563,600 copies.

Refusing to budge from No. 4 is rap/reggaton duo Wisin Y YandelLos Extraterr reels in 10,400 units in its 32nd week on the charts.  To date, the album has sold 273,300 copies.

Flo Rida rises a spot to No. 5.  Six thousand folks picked up Mail On Sunday this week, bringing the album's total sales to 255,600.

Behind him are The Roots at No. 6.  Rising Down shells out 5,800 discs this week.  In total, the album has sold 110,700 copies.

Staying put at No. 7 is Snoop DoggEgo Trippin’ rings out 4,900 units this week, pushing the albums total sales to 336,200.

Kanye West rises two spots to No. 8.  Graduation cashed out 4,700 CDs this week.  To date, the album has sold 2,118,500 copies.

Posted at No. 9 is Lupe FiascoThe Cool earns a gold plaque this week as it passes the 500,000 mark.  The album moved 4,600 copies this week, pushing its total to 503,300.

Wrapping up the Top 10 is AtmosphereWhen Life Gives You Lemons...bagged up 4,500 units this week.  So far, the album has sold 91,200 copies.

A noteworthy mention under the Top 10 is Lil Wayne's The Carter III which has already landed on the Billboard Rap Chart despite being released yesterday (June 10).

The Carter III debuted at No. 12 and has already sold 4,000 copies.  The album is expected to be the No. 1 Rap album next week and is projected to have sold over 800,000 copies by then.
