Roughly two months after his demise, the Los Angeles coroner's office has ruled that UGK member Pimp C died from sleep apnea and an overdose of Promethazine/Codeine syrup.

Pimp C (born Chad Butler) was found dead  in his room at the Mondrian Hotel in Hollywood, California on December 4th 2007.

According to My Fox Houston, Los Angeles County Asst. Chief Coroner Ed Winter said that Pimp C's death has been ruled as an accident.

Promethazine/Codeine is an over-the-counter drug that is celebrated by Houston rappers and often referred to as "Lean".

Winter also revealed that Pimp C's sleep apnea was a pre-existing health condition. Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder characterized by repeated pauses in breathing during sleep.

Pimp C was only 33 years old and is survived by a wife and three children.
