R&B crooner Akon and actor/rapper Nick Cannon will be sharing their life stories next week on VH1's newest series titled Rags To Riches.

Akon will take viewers to Newark, New Jersey to reveal his troubled past and show he persevered to be a chart topping singer/songwriter, producer and proud owner of Konvict Records, home to artists like T-Pain , Kardinal Offishall, Red Cafe and Chilli of TLC.

Cannon will also take viewers to his early stomping grounds, the streets of South East San Diego.  The actor /rapper will discuss his rise to fame and introduce the world to the people who helped him realize his talent.

The Rags to Riches episodes will air back to back on Monday (February 4 ).  Akon’s episode will air at 10 p.m and Cannon's at 10:30 pm.
