Walt Disney Studios announced today (January 29) that they are creating a stereoscopic 3-D music video for Missy Elliot which combines two of her latest songs, “Ching-a-Ling” and “Shake Your Pom Pom”.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the video will premiere on MTV's TRL on Monday (February 4th). 

Both songs are featured on the soundtrack for the dance flick , Step Up 2: The Streets , which opens in theatres on February 14th.

Bad Boy Entertainment founder Sean 'Diddy' Combs today (January 29) named Harve Pierre the president of his Bad Boy Records.

Pierre, who has been with Bad Boy since its inception and helped groom artists like The Lox, Total and Cassie, will now oversee the finance, creative, promotional, marketing, A&R, international and sales division at Bad Boy.

Pierre's Crazy Joint production imprint will also develop artists and projects for Bad Boy.

RINGTONE PLAQUES

DTP's Playaz Circle recently announced that their hit single, “Duffle Bag Boy,” has been certified platinum, officially selling over 1 million ringtones.

The song features Lil Wayne and was included on the debut album Supply & Demand which hit shelves last year.

The duo is now gearing up to release “Paper Chase” as their next single off the album.

RUMOR MILL

Rumor has it, former Violator/Loud recording artist, JoJo Pellegrino will finally be releasing his long awaited, and highly anticipated, debut album, Flawless Execution, via a major digital distribution deal, within the next few months.

A representative for JoJo wouldn't reveal any details to Sixshot on where the album would be distributed through, only saying, “After all this time, we are pleased to announce that all the JoJo Pellegrino fans can rest assured that they will get an album shortly.  We would like to thank all the fans out there for bearing with us, and stay tuned for big things to come. ”
