Rock, one half of the Duck Down rap duo Heltah Skeltah, was released today (January 24) from Rikers Island prison after posting $125,000 bail.

As reported earlier, Rock is accused of shooting a pimp with ties to the Blood gang in the neck and leaving him paralyzed.

The Brooklyn District Attorney's Office claims that Rock is a pimp and he shot the aforementioned pimp over a dispute involving a woman.

Rock, who had been in custody since last week, has been indicted on charges of assault and attempted murder.  He has denied the charges.

According to his lawyer, Rock will be arraigned on the felony indictment in Brooklyn Supreme Court within the next month.

Rock and his partner in rhyme, Sean Price(aka Ruck) are set to release their first project together in nine years titled D.I.R.T.(Da Incredible Rap Team) this summer.

Rock is also working on a solo project titled Shell Shock which will feature appearances  Sean Price, Buckshot, Smif N Wessun and Rustee Juxx, among others.
