
Ludacris is slated to perform at ESPN Magazine's ‘Next Party’ during the Super Bowl weekend in Phoenix, Arizona.
According to The Associated Press, the ‘Next Party’, will take place on February 1st and will highlight future trends in sports, technology and lifestyle.
“(It) feels good to be back in Arizona,” Ludacris said. “Phoenix is the hometown of my artist Willie Northpole so it's only right to bring `Disturbing Tha Peace' back home.”
Soulja Boy will also be involved in another ESPN event which will take place on February 2nd. The ‘Crank Dat’ rapper will be holding a dance challenge featuring athletes.
SECOND TIME AROUND
Former Roots member Rahzel will be releasing his sophomore solo album titled Greatest Knockouts Vol. 2 this summer via Ipecac Records.
Rahzel tells Billboard that the album will features an appearance from singer Mike Patton, who owns Ipecac Records.
Aside fro
m the album, Rahzel will be appearing alongside Jackie Long (ATL) in the comedy Doorman and will also be releasing a documentary based on beat boxing titled Art of Noise.
FOR THE CAUSE
Miami rapper Pitbull will be launching his charity foundation called The Imaginate Foundation in his hometown tomorrow (January 16).
According to Rap Industry, the charity will provide college scholarships for first and second-generation immigrants. The charity’s launch will take place at the Cielo nightclub and various local rappers including Rick Ross will make an appearance.
NEW YEAR, NEW DEAL
Florida rapper Khia, well known for her 2002 hit " My Neck, My Back" today(January 15) announced her new deal with Atlanta based record label Big Cat Records.
Big Cat Records, which helped Gucci Mane launch his career, is also home to Rasheeda and Maceo.
Khia will release her third album, Nasty Muzik, via the label this spring
“I am extremely excited about my new deal,” Khia said in a statement. “My third album will definitely show my growth as an artist and producer. I’ve been through a lot and my lyrics will prove it.”
