Movie company Twentieth Century Fox, which is currently working on putting together a big-screen adaptation of the popular 80’s TV series, A-Team , has shot down rumors that Ice Cube is attached to the project.
According to Daily Variety, rumors had pegged Ice Cube to play "B.A. Baracas", a character on show made infamous by Mr. T (born Laurence Tureaud).
Fox did confirm that director John Singleton, who worked with Ice Cube on Boyz N Da Hood, will helm the upcoming A-Team flick.
Singleton’s film credits include Poetic Justice, Shaft , Baby Boy and 2 Fast & 2 Furious.
The A-Team, which aired on NBC from 1983 to 1987, focused on four members of a commando outfit who become vigilantes while on the run from the law for a crime they did not commit.
In related news, Ice Cube will be starring alongside comedian Tracy Morgan in the comedy First Sunday which opens on January 11th 2008. Cube and Morgan play two friends who attempt to rob a church but slowly change their minds during their inter
