Shayla Stevens, the waitress who was allegedly assaulted by Da Brat with a liquor bottle at an Atlanta nightclub last month, has hired prominent trial attorney Willie Gary to represent her against the So So Def rapper.
As reported earlier, Stevens and Da Brat got into a heated dispute at Studio 72 in Atlanta on October 31st and the rapper allegedly picked up a bottle of rum and hit Stevens in the head.
Stevens, who worked part-time at Studio 72 and was also a cheerleader for the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons, sustained injuries to her face.
In a statement released today (November 13), Gary said that Stevens’ injuries have caused her to miss work and lose various opportunities including a scheduled role on Tyler Perry's sitcom, House of Payne.
Gary also accused a Studio 72 manager of failing to seek medical help for Stevens after the assault occurred. He also blasted the clubs owners and security for failing to remove Da Brat from the premises when she got into a shoving match with Stevens

Da Brat, who was arrested shortly after the incident, was released on $50,000 bond and faces aggravated assault charges.
Gary is noted for winning $240 million for his clients who accused Walt Disney for stealing their ideas. He was also won 139.6 million for the Maris Distributing Company in their case against Anheuser Busch.
