Russell Simmons recently announced that him and the creators behind Reverend Run’s popular MTV reality series, Run’s House , are planning on making a movie based on the life of the rapper turned preacher.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Simmons made the announcement at the Media and Money conference in New York on Thursday (November 8).
Simmons, who founded Def Jam and Phat Farm , revealed that he is looking for financial backing and a studio home for the film.
The mogul believes the flick will be a blockbuster upon its release.
“It's gonna make a lot of money,” Simmons emphasized.
