Nelly and Larry Hughes of the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers, both St. Louis natives, have reportedly teamed up to build a multi-million dollar athletic facility in their hometown.
According to The St. Louis Business Journal, Hughes and Nelly’s development company, Nelly Inc., plan to build the massive athletic complex on 60 acres of farmland at Page Avenue, near the Maryland Heights expressway.
The St. Louis stars have presented their plans to Maryland Heights officials but have not yet requested zoning variances. Other details about the facility were not released.
“This thing is in the baby stages,” explained Christopher ‘Topher’ Jones, managing partner of Nelly Inc. “We're still in talks with the city.”
Nelly is currently gearing up for the release of his fourth solo album titled Brass Knuckles.
Due in stores on December 11th, the album will feature apperances from Public Enemy's Chuck D, Pimp C and Sean Paul of the YoungBloodz, among others.
