The identity of a waitress who was assaulted with a liquor bottle by Da Brat at an Atlanta nightclub on Wednesday (October 31) has been revealed.

According to My Fox Atlanta, the woman Da Brat attacked is 24-year-old Shayla Stevens  who works at Studio 72, where the incident occurred.  She is also a cheerleader for the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons.

As reported earlier, Brat got into a heated dispute with Stevens before picking up a bottle of rum and hitting her.

An Atlanta police spokesperson said the squabble began after Stevens accidentally bumped into Da Brat.  At some point during their heated exchange, Stevens walked away and was then hit in the face with the bottle.

Stevens sustained a deep laceration to the cheek and some swelling on the forehead.

Stevens, who is recovering and facing possibly surgery, has refused to comment on the incident.

Da Brat was arrested on the night of the incident and was released on $50,000 bond on Thursday night (November 1).  She has been charged with is facing aggravated assault charges.
