Fat Joe today (October 22) announced that his rap group Terror Squad has inked a new deal with Koch Records.
As part of their agreement, Koch will release two Terror Squad albums .
The label currently has an existing deal with Terror Squad's DJ Khaled, who has released two albums via the label, Listennn….The Album and We The Best. The aformentioned albums boasted major radio smashes including ‘We Taking Over’ and “Holla At Me”.
“We've had major success with Koch nd the Terror Squad imprint in the past, especially with DJ Khaled's two albums. We will continue this success with this new Terror Squad deal at Koch Records,” Fat Joe said in a statement. “It's a perfect place to unveil our new members.”
“The Terror Squad albums at Koch are going to be huge! Terror Squad/Koch is going to make history,” added DJ Khaled. “Koch is a label that works their artists to victory. I'm happy to be a part of two big families!”
Terror Squad’s last release was their 2004 album True Story , which featured the hit single “Le
an Back”.
Fat Joe is currently working on his eighth solo album titled The Elephant In The Room. The album will feature appearances from Diddy, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Fabolous.
Last week, Joe released the first single off the project called “Crack House”, which features Lil Wayne. (Listen)
The Elephant In The Room is slated for release early 2008 while the release date for the first Terror Squad album via Koch has not been determined.
