ITS ALL IN THE BOOK

 

According to The New York Post, Jermaine Dupri is shopping around for a book publishing deal.

 

Dupri's memoir is tentatively titled Young, Rich and Dangerous.

 

The book will give readers an inside look into his life and experiences working with Bow Wow, Mariah Carey, Kriss Kross, Usher and other artists.

 

Expect juicy bits about his relationship with Janet Jackson as well.

Lil’ Wayne had a stellar year in 2005 and don’t expect ‘Weezy Baby’ to show signs of slowing down in ‘06.

 

The rapper, who is currently up for his first Grammy nomination this year, will be featured on a remix to Nelly Furtado’s “Maneater”, produced by Timbaland.

 

Wayne is also working on a mixtape with Juelz Santana and is prepping artists from his label Young Money.

 

You can catch the self proclaimed "Best Rapper Alive" perform tonight (Jan. 9) on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Show.

PITCH IN ON A PARTY

 

Shady Records is set to hold a major party during the Super Bowl week.

 

The A-list bash which will go down at the State Theatre in Detroit on February 4th, will feature performances from D12, Stat Quo and Obie Trice according to the Free Press.

 

Though Eminem will appear at the party, it is uncertain whether he will take the stage.

 

Two days before the Shady bash goes down; Kanye West will headline the Pepsi Smash at Super Bowl XL at the same venue.

 

Organizers have not yet determined if the Shady party will be open to the public, but tickets to the Pepsi Smash event are available at Ticket Master.

 

Hip Hop's big names are well documented for holding major events and parties during the Super Bowl weekend.

 

Diddy will host a party at at downtown's Elysium club on February 3rd, while LL Cool J will perform at the Detroit Opera House the same night.

 

Jay-Z was hoping to hold his party at the Detroit Public Library but things didn’t go as planned.

 

The rapper/CEO is currently in negotiation to his hold his bash at the CPop Art Gallery.
