Late rapper Ol' Dirty Bastard's mother Cherry Jones is suing production company AGU Entertainment , for allegedly exploiting her dead son.
The former Wu Tang Clan star's mother and manager Jarred Weisfeld have filed a $1.8 million (GBP) lawsuit against the Florida-based firm, claiming they failed to fulfil deals for a hip-hop album and DVD, while continuing to use ODB's name to attract investors.
ODB, whose real name was Russell Jones , collapsed in a Manhattan recording studio in November (04) after an accidental overdose on cocaine and a prescription painkillers.
Weisfeld's attorney Mark Frey says, "We're just saddened and shocked that AGU would do this, given what everyone had been through with Dirty's death."
