Tupac: Resurrection (the documentary about 2Pac which is narrated entirely in his words) is among the 12 films which will be competing for the 5 nominees spot for a documentary at the Academy Awards this year.
Tupac: Resurrection will be competing against documentaries like Super Size Me, Home of the Brave, Born into Brothels and The Ritchie Boys. Oscar nominations will be announced January 25th, 2005 at 5:30 a.m. PST.
The awards ceremony will take place on February 27th, 2005.
Emancipated
Mariah Carey is expected to drop her album titled The Emancipation of Mimi, on March 29th , 2005.
The first single off the album will be "Say Something," produced by the Neptunes and featuring Snoop Dogg. The album will feature appreances and production from Jermaine Dupri, R.Kelly , Kanye West, Nelly and Twista.

Game will drop his anticipated album The Documentary on January 18th. The album will feature production and apperances from

Double Time
Xzibit will join the cast of the action/thriller Derailed. The movie will also star RZA and Jennifer Aniston. The movie is expected in theatres next year. As previously reported, X will play an arms dealer in the XXX sequel titled XXX: State of the Union . The movie which is expected to hit theatres on April 2005 will star Ice Cube and Samuel Jackson whowill reprise his role as "Agent Augustus Gibbons".
In other news, Xzibit will drop his album Weapons of Mass Destruction on December 14th. The album features apperances and production from Strong Arm Steady, Suga Free, Butch Cassidy, Keri Hilson , Battle Cat, Hi-Tek , Timbaland, Jelly Roll and DJ Muggs.
As previously announced, he will share the cover of NFL Street 2 with New York Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey .The game is due in stores on December 26th

Snoop Dogg will host Spike TV's second annual Video Game Awards. The event will take place on December 14th and will feature live performances from Ludacris and Snoop with the remaining members of The Doors singing a remake of "Riders on the Storm." . The remake is featured as the theme for the video game, Need For Speed: Underground 2.
