Ja's Legal Troubles
Ja Rule is being sued for damaging a Florida mansion and illegally showing clips of it on MTV Cribs.
Jeanette Varela has taken legal action against Ja, The Inc., Universal Studios and MTV for illegally showing clips of her home on the TV show Cribs.
Varela's lawyer, Robert H. Cooper, says, "She lives there. They filmed and showed her bedroom, her living room."
The owner was paid $46,000 for Ja Rule to stay at the waterfront mansion for Memorial Day weekend of 2001 - when scenes of him walking round the residency were filmed for Cribs.
The lawsuit states the party that followed breached their contract - and that there "were numerous syringes...strewn about the mansion."
