Joe Budden was arrested in Queens, New York, Tuesday afternoon for driving with a suspended license.

According to a police spokesperson, officers pulled over Budden in a current model BMW around 3 p.m. for speeding on the Clearview Expressway. He was driving 76 mph in a 50 mph zone. Police then discovered that Budden was driving with a suspended license and arrested him.

Budden remained in jail overnight and was arraigned Wednesday morning (July 14) in Queens criminal court. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree and speeding, according to a spokesperson for the Queens district attorney. Budden paid a $300 fine and was released on his own recognizance.

The rapper recently ended a stint as host of New York's Hot 97 morning show and is currently putting the finishing touches on a new album due out in the fall.

The Wu-Tang Clan will release a new album on September 28 and a DVD on October 12.

Both the CD and DVD will be a live recording of their concert  at the Rock the Bells festival in San Bernardino, California, billed as the first Stateside show with all the original members in nearly 10 years.

A cloud of skepticism, though, hovers over the show, based on past Wu attempts at organizing reu nions. Wu-Tang Clan shows in Europe this past week had everyone except Method Man and ODB representing.

Both the CD and DVD are without an official title and will be released on Sanctuary Records. A representative for the label said all members of the Clan are expected at this weekend's show.
