Following Judge Fred Gannets decision to allow television cameras to cover the Kobe Bryant sexual assualt case, yesterday Kobe's lawyers asked the judge to reconsider his decision. Attorneys Pamela Mackay and Hal Haddon also asked for a hearing on how the media should be allowed to cover the case.
Meanwhilte the District Attorney has received an additional 105 thousand dollars from the county to pay for the cost of the case. Kobe is due back in court August 6th.
Vince Carter was named to the U.S. Olympic qualifying team Monday, replacing Kobe Bryant.
Bryant withdrew from the team last week because of shoulder and knee surgery. The Los Angeles Lakers star still plans to play for the U.S. team at the 2004 Olympics if the Americans qualify.

CAMERA'S NEED TO STAY OUT THE COURTROOM AND AWAY FROM KOBE IT'S BAD ENOUGH HE'S GOING THROUGH ALL OF THIS BUT HIS FAMILY CAN'T EVEN TURN ON THERE TELEVISIONS W/O SEEING HIM ON THE TV I MEAN GIVE THE GUY A BREAK IT'S NOT THAT SERIOUS.

True..a 4 million dollar gift doesnt equate to guilt but that don't mean that nigga aint guilty..we dont KNOW the man outside of the public image and what the TV pumps about him except he can ball..Nobody know what happened except him and the white girl,,,he decided to gamble his life on...We really don't know what the deal is..

I agree with Kobe's lawyers, the media coverage should remain limited and not in the courtroom. Things might be said during the case that could damage the kid's reputation even more. And oh yeah Diamond....he bought her the ring because he can afford it. How the fuck does buying an expensive gift for you wife make you guilty of rape? Fuck you Diamond!!!!!! PS: Your asking why a man always says he's innocent when accused of rape. But haven't you wondered why succesful black men get accused of rape so often, do they need to rape women??????????????
