Apple Inc. and Eminem's music publisher have come to a settlement over a lawsuit concerning nearly 100 of the rapper's songs in Apple's iTunes online music store.

Richard Busch, a lawyer representing music publisher Eight Mile Style, said Friday (October 2) "the case was settled to the satisfaction of all parties."

Busch declined to reveal details of the deal, citing confidentiality.

The two sides reached an agreement Thursday night after spending five days in federal court in Detroit.

Eminem was not a witness and did not testify during the trial.

Eight Mile Style is owned by songwriting and producing brothers Mark and Jeff Bass, who are credited with helping launch the rapper's career. The company had claimed it never authorized the 93 Eminem songs in question to be available for digital download via the iTunes site.

Apple claimed that the downloads were offered through a valid deal with Eminem's record label, Aftermath Records.
