Nas and Kelis reunited recently during fashion week in New York, and if the pictures were any indication, the estranged couple appeared to have reconciled. But according to reports, Kelis is still moving forward with filing for divorce from her husband and the father of her newborn son.

Nas, for his part, has kept relatively quite on the matter, but that might not be the case for much longer. The Queens rapper spoke with MTV UK and said he's "scared" of putting together his next solo project because he's "a little nervous to tell you the truth."

"This is a record that, right now, I'm scared of making," Nas said of the album. "I don't know what's gonna happen, as far as I don't know what I'm gonna say. I feel like I've put so much of my personal life out there, and I feel like I'm one of the sort of guys you don't really hear about [though] paparazzi or fan magazines all the time. But I just feel like my life is so much out there [now] that it's kind of like — man, I don't even know how to put into words how I feel about putting this record together. I'm a little nervous, to tell you the truth. That's all I can say."

Throughout albums like I Am ... and God's Son, Nas has offered an introspective glance into his upbringing. He even narrated his matrimonial jitters on Street Disciple's "Getting Married."

Before getting to his next solo project, Nas has been busy working on Distant Relatives, a collaborative album with Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley. The duo have toured all summer as a part of the Rock the Bells trek and gave fans a preview of some of the material. They announced their project some time ago, but Nas said the album is in the final stages.

"[He's] a great artist and he does his thing and he's made a mark and I like his music," Nas said of his Distant Relatives partner. "I worked on his last album on a song called 'Road to Zion,' and I just wanted to work with him some more, so now we're wrapping up an album. I hope that it comes out very soon."
