In a recent interview with British radio personality Tim Westwood, Jay-Z denied rumours of blocking Chris Brown’s performance at the recent BET Awards and took jabs at The Game and Damon Dash.
Rumours were floating around that Jay-Z had threatened BET that he wouldn’t perform at their annual award show if they let Brown take the stage at the same event. Word was Jay-Z was harbouring ill feelings towards Brown for attacking his protégé Rihanna.
Jay-Z shot down the rumour and took shots at former associate Damon Dash for commenting on the rumour during an interview with Smack Tube.
"That’s the silliest rumour I ever had. I was really sitting back and watching all them suckers comment on it. You don’t comment on rumours," said Jay-Z. "I was watching them the whole time like 'look at them, that’s just so silly'. First of all, I categorically deny that. If I have a problem with Chris Brown, I have a problem with Chris Brown. I didn't say anything live or behind the scenes. I don’t agree with what he did. That’s it, that’s the end of it."
"As far as not letting him perform on th
e BET Awards, that’s just ridiculous, that’s stupid, that’s a sucker move, I wouldn’t do it. And people commenting on rumours is a sucker move," he added.
Jay-Z also gave his opinion on Brown's recent video apology for his attack on Rihanna. Check out the full article at Sixshot's sister website, http://stonefree.ning.com/.
