C-Murder is home again. The New Orleans rapper made bail Tuesday (March 24) and returned to house arrest two weeks after he was jailed for allegedly leaving his house without permission.

C-Murder is charged with the second-degree murder of 16-year-old Steve Thomas on Jan. 12, 2002. Thomas was shot during a brawl in a Harvey nightclub.

State District Judge Hans Liljeberg revoked C- Murder's house arrest March 11, two days after his house arrest officer jailed him for allegedly leaving his Kenner residence for about 10 minutes just after 3 a.m.

Liljeberg increased C-Murder's $500,000 bond to $1 million. Officials said the rapper is using equity in property to make the bond.

C-Murder's trial is scheduled for April 20.
