The future of The Clipse's debut on Sony Music seemed to be in jeopardy last week, as the two execs that brought the Virginia duo to the label were let go but Pusha T recently revealed that the sudden staff cut won't affect the release of their upcoming album, Till The Casket Drops.

Last week, Sony laid off several of its staff members including president of urban music Kyambo "Hip Hop" Joshua and urban marketing executive Al Branch.

Joshua and Branch signed The Clipse and Jim Jones to the label and were handling their upcoming projects.

"It's not gonna affect us. We're too far done with the album," Pusha explained to mtvnews.com. "The thing about us, it was never lack of music. Our problems have been an executing and marketing issue. I think we got a pretty good stronghold on it. I heard about the Hip Hop and Al Branch situation. I'm sure all of that is going to work itself out in our favor."

Pusha T revealed that Till the Casket Drops will feature production from The Neptunes, DJ Khalil, Swizz Beatz and Sean C. and LV. The Virginia rapper refused t o give other details about the album but hinted that the set's first single, "Kinda Like A Big Deal", will feature a big name.

"It's about being kinda like a big deal," Pusha divulged. " The collabo on there, the record in general, it's kinda like a big deal."

When asked if the collaborator on the song is Kanye West, Pusha alluded the question saying: "Hey, man, it's just one of them joints."

"Kinda Like A Big Deal" will be released in February. A release date for Till The Casket Drops was not revealed.
