The anti-gang employee accused of being involved in the robbery and assault of Bizzy Bone was officially charged of the crime today (January 13).
As reported earlier, Marlon "Bow Wow" Jones is accused of beating, choking and robbing jewelry from the Cleveland bred rapper at the Universal Hilton on January 5th along with several other men.
According to The Los Angeles Times, Jones was charged Tuesday with one felony count of robbery and one felony count of first-degree burglary with the special allegation that he committed the crime to further the Grape Street Crips, a South Los Angeles gang.
Jones was a contract employee of the anti-gang organization Unity One but he was fired after being arrested on Friday (January 9).
Jones is currently being held on $300,000 bail but a prosecutor involved in the case wants the bail to be set to $1 million.
Jones was currently on probation for spousal abuse and he had been convicted in the 90's for robbery and cocaine possession. He faces up to 28 years behind bars if convicted for Bizzy Bone’s robbery.
Police are currently seeking out the other suspects.
