Legendary rapper Ice Cube has joined forces with NBA superstar Lebron James to develop a one-hour drama for ABC.
According to The Plain Dealer, the show will be based on James' experiences as a black high school student playing in a small town.
This marks the third television project that Ice Cube has been attached to. The rapper helmed the 2006 FX reality show Black. White and will be serving as an executive producer for an upcoming cop comedy series for NBC.
In related news, a documentary which captures James' actual high school days will be opening in theatres in 2009.
Interscope Records honcho Jimmy Iovine is attached to the doc and has plans to promote the film via live performances and a soundtrack.
