Onyx rapper Sticky Fingaz will be making his directorial film debut in 2009 with his rap musical titled A Day In The Life.

The flick revolves around a gangster (played by Sticky Fingaz) who is struggling to leave the street life behind but is caught between a war involving two crime families.

Sticky Fingaz wrote the script for the movie which consists entirely of rap dialogue.

“I'm an artist and I create music and at the same time, I'm an actor so it made sense to try something innovative and merge the two together,” Sticky Fingaz said in a statement.

The movie's cast includes Mekhi Phifer, Omar Epps, Bokeem Woodbine, Michael Rapaport, Faizon Love, Malinda Williams, Treach, Tyrin Turner, Drena De Niro (Robert De Niro's daughter), Clarence Williams III, Ray J and Fredro Starr.

A Day In A Life will hit theatres via Major Independents/ Lion Gates in early 2009.  Watch the trailer HERE.
