Almost three months after his Long Island home burnt to the ground, 50 Cent finally met with fire officials to help them with their investigation into what started the blaze.
The fire officials involved in the investigation went public this week claiming that their inquiry was being delayed by 50 Cent because the rapper refused to schedule a meeting.
According to TMZ, 50 Cent met with the fire officials yesterday (August 21) along with his lawyers.
“The meeting had been arranged weeks ago,” a representative for 50 Cent claimed in a statement. “50 is eager to review the findings of the investigation, when it is concluded.”
The multi-million mansion burnt down in May. Shaniqua Tompkins (50 Cent’s ex-girlfriend) and their ten-year-old son lived in the mansion and were in the home when the fire occurred.
Prior to the fire, 50 and Tompkins were in a heated legal dispute over the house and the rapper was attempting to evict her.
After the fire occurred, Tompkins accused 50 Cent of orchestrating
the blaze. The G-Unit honcho denied her claims and filed a defamation lawsuit against her.
Fire officials have deemed the mansion fire ‘suspicious’ . A 5-gallon gas container was found on the grounds.
