Aaliyah Dana Haughton was born Jan. 16, 1979 in Brooklyn, NY. Her name, which is Swahili for “the highest most exalted one, the best”, would foreshadow her amazing career.  In 1994, when Aaliyah was on 14, she released her debut album Age Ain’t Nothing But A Number.   Spawning the hit singles “Back & Forth”, a No. 1 R&B song & Top 5 hit on Billboard’s Hot 100 and “At Your Best (You Are Loved)”, the album was an instant success.  Her follow-up album, One In A Million, went multi-platinum thanks to the signature syncopated beats of a then-unknown producer named Timbaland.  Aaliyah made her stunning motion picture debut in Romeo Must Die, “Best Video From A Film”. In 2001, Aaliyah released the critically acclaimed Aaliyah featuring the hit songs “We Need A Resolution”, “More Than A Woman: and “Rock The Boat”.

Her upcoming album, I Care 4 U, is a celebration of Aaliyah’s music, composed for her fans and available to them in one “must have” CD.  I Care 4 U covers Aaliyah’s musical evolution. It features her early smash hits as a young teen, her award winning/record-breaking singles as a young adult and pop-culture icon, and new music available for the first time for her fans.
