
Legendary producer Quincy Jones has tapped some of the biggest names in hip hop and R&B to remix various songs from his catalog.
Rapper/producer David Banner, who is among the chosen, revealed to Billboard that Jones has also picked Akon, Pharrell Williams and T-Pain for the project.
“[He] allowed us to choose and remake our favorite songs,” Banner explained. “I chose 'Give Me the Night' by George Benson with Jamie Foxx singing it.”
A release date and title for the project was not given.
In related news, Banner will be releasing his latest album titled The Greatest Story Ever Told tomorrow (July 15).

Busta Rhymes' eighth solo album titled Blessed has a new release date.
The album was initially scheduled to hit shelves on July 31st but according to Hiphopdx, Blessed will now be hitting stores in September via Aftermath/Intersope Records.

HITTING THE ROAD
In support of his new album, Untitled, Nas will be heading out on a US tour this summer.
Nas will begin his trek in New York with a free show tomorrow (July 15) and wrap it up in Minnesota on September 5th.
Along the way, Nas will be joined by Talib Kweli, Jay Electronica and DJ Green Lantern.
