R&B crooner R. Kelly was acquitted on all 14 counts in his child pornography trial by a Chicago jury Friday (June 13).

As reported earlier, Kelly was accused of making a sex tape with a teenage girl some time between 1998 and 2000.

According to The Chicago Tribune, the jury which included nine men and three women deliberated for seven and a half hours on Thursday (June 12) before announcing its verdict on Friday afternoon.

Tears could be seen streaming down Kelly's face when the verdict was read and the singer hugged his lawyers.

Kelly faced up to 15 years in prison if he was convicted on the porn charges.
