A man identified as Jim Jones' bodyguard  tangled with police after the rapper's performance at New York's 'Summer Jam' concert  last night (June 1)

According to North Jersey, Jones made a surprise appearance at the event  and after leaving the stage the rapper's entourage got into the dispute with police.

Authorities claim Charles Chandler, 26, of Brooklyn, N.Y., grabbed an officer's head and face with both hands before another officer intervened.

Chandler would be arrested and was released on $15,000 and will be making a court appearance for the incident.

Authorities claim Jones' entourage  "tried to incite a riot" by making references to the Sean Bell case.

The annual 'Summer Jam' concert  which took place Sunday featured performances from Kanye West, Lil’ Wayne, Public Enemy,  Alicia Keys, T-Pain, Ray J, Yung Berg, The Dream and D-Block.
