A Manhattan judge yesterday (May 14) awarded Lil Kim with $500,000 in her lawsuit against her former Junior M.A.F.I.A. group-mate Lil Cease.
As reported earlier, Lil Kim filed a $6 million suit against Lil Cease in 2005 accusing him of illicitly using her name and likeness to endorse a DVD chronicling Junior M.A.F.I.A.
According to The New York Post, Judge Jed Rakoff ruled Wednesday that Lil Cease had wrongly capitalized from Lil Kim's fame via the DVD.
Lil Kim and Lil Cease began their rap careers in the early 90’s under the group Junior M.A.F.I.A. which was created by the late Notorious B.I.G.
Kim would eventually leave the group years after B.I.G.'s death citing personal and business conflicts with members of Junior M.A.F.I.A.
