Foxy Brown avoided jail time today (April 24) by accepting a state plea deal for her role in a scuffle at a Florida beauty shop last year.
As reported earlier, Brown was arrested at Florida's Queen Beauty Supply shop in February 2007 for allegedly throwing hair glue at a store employee.
She was also accused of spitting on the store employee and struggling with an officer who wanted to question her about the incident.
According to The Miami Herald, Brown will have to serve six months probation, perform 15 hours of community service and write apology letters to the store owner and the employee.
Also as part of the deal, Brown will have to enroll in an anger management course and pay court costs and fines.
Brown's initial lawyer in the case, Fred Haddad, resigned from the case yesterday (April 23) because he didn't want the Brooklyn bred rapper to take the plea deal and was ready to go to trial.
Due to Haddad's resignation, Brown was told by a judge to return to court on May 8th with a new lawyer but the rapper promptly found a replacement to take the plea deal.
Brown was released from New York's Rikers C
orrectional Facility last week after serving eight months for violating probation.
Prior to be being tossed in jail, Brown would allegedly hit her neighbor with a Blackberry phone during an argument. She is expected back in a New York court on May 5th to face the charges from that incident.
