A British immigration appeals judge yesterday (April 23) shot down attempts by the UK Border Agency to keep Snoop Dogg out of the country.
As reported earlier, Snoop was banned from the UK in 2006 because of his criminal record and a widely reported altercation between his entourage and British authorities at London's Heathrow Airport.
In February, the ban would be lifted by Judge Nehar Bird but the UK Border Agency would challenge Bird's decision claiming that Snoop was “non-conducive to the public good”.
According to The Press Association, Judge George Warr ruled Wednesday that evidence provided by the Agency and authorities failed to show that Snoop's exclusion from Britain would be conducive to the public good.
The Border Agency has until next week to decide whether to appeal again.
Phillip Trott, Snoop's lawyer, called the Agency's efforts “an appalling waste of public money”.
“It is outrageous that the government is trying to exclude someone who is an innocent figure,” said Trott.
