Foxy Brown will be released from New York's Rikers Correctional Facility today (April 18) after serving eight months for violating probation.

As reported earlier, Brown was on probation for attacking two manicurists at a nail salon in 2004 but the rapper skipped anger management classes and failed to get the court’s consent before traveling outside the city.

Prior to be being tossed in jail, Brown would allegedly hit her neighbor with a Blackberry phone during an argument. 

According to The New York Post, Brown will be headed back to court on May 5 to face the Blackberry assault charges.

In related news, the Brooklyn bred rapper will be releasing her latest album titled Brooklyn’s Don Diva on May 13th.  She is also currently shopping a reality show which will capture her life after serving jail time.
