Eminem has reportedly been tapped to perform at the 90th birthday party of former South African president Nelson Mandela.

Reports had surfaced last week that the Detroit rapper had agreed to perform at the event but Em’s publicist, Dennis Dennehy, says negotiations for the rapper to appear in the event are still underway.

“He's been approached, but it's not confirmed,” Dennehy told The Detroit Free Press.

Mandela’s birthday party is slated to take place at London's Hyde Park on June 27.  Other artists expected to perform include Stevie Wonder, Annie Lennox, Razorlight and Will Smith.
