The attorneys involved in Snoop Dogg’s lawsuit against his former label, Priority Records, announced today (April 10) that the lawsuit has been settled.
As reported earlier, Snoop sued Priority in 2006 claiming the label failed to pay him $2 million in royalties and a $950,000 advance he was promised after he recorded his 2000 album, Tha Last Meal.
The rapper also claimed that Priority did not consult him before releasing a greatest hits CD of his music.
According to The Associated Press, attorneys for both parties came to an agreement last week but refused to reveal the terms of the agreement.
“The litigation has been amicably resolved,” said Joseph Scleimer, Snoop's lawyer
“I don't believe a settlement would have been reached unless both sides were happy,” added David Steinberg, Priority's lawyer.
