
Lil Wayne's highly anticipated album, The Carter III, has been pushed back again.
The album was initially slated for release In May but according to reports it will now be hitting shelve son June 10th.
As reported earlier, The Carter III will feature appearances from Jay-Z, Hurricane Chris, Juelz Santana, Corey Gunz, Fabolous, Lil Mama, Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Baby, Brisco and Dre from Cool & Dre.
Production on the set is supplied by Kanye West, Swizz Beatz, Alchemist and Cool & Dre, among others.
BIG BUSINESS
So-So Def honcho Jermaine Dupri and Def Jam Records have teamed up with TAG Body Sprays to form a new hip hop label called Tag Records.
Dupri will serve as TAG Records' president and will announce the label's first artist next month.
The artist will receive a multi-million dollar marketing campaign and will also appear alongside Dupri in TAG's
STRONG> advertising campaigns in 2008.
“Today, we make history in the music industry with TAG Records," said Jermaine Dupri via a statement. “This label is going to provide new artists with a chance of a lifetime. New artists will receive ten times the typical marketing support - a first in the industry. I'm hand selecting and molding these artists to make history in hip hop.”
FREEDOM AWAITS
Foxy Brown will be a free woman next week. According to reports, the Brooklyn rapper will be released from Riker's Island Correctional Facility on April 18th after serving eight months for violating probation.
Foxy will be releasing her latest album Brooklyn's Don Diva on May 13th and is currently in talks for a reality show.
