A Santa Clara, California man who was shot and killed by local authorities this past weekend was today (April 8) identified by coroners as South Bay based rapper Almighty Aziz.

According to The Mercury News, Aziz stabbed a friend Saturday night (April 5) during an argument at a party and then broke into a neighboring house.

When police arrived at the house that Aziz broke into, they sent a dog into the home which would be stabbed by the rapper.

Aziz would then confront the police and was then shot.

Aziz's friend was stabbed in the torso while the dog was stabbed in the torso, back and had its ear sliced.  Both are currently recovering.

The two cops who shot Aziz, 24, were put on administrative leave.

According to his MySpace page, Aziz (born Aziz Howard Raqmond James) was scheduled to open shows for Houston rapper Devin The Dude later this month.
