Lil Jon has launched his own wine label called Little Jonathan Winery.

Jon revealed to The Associated Press recently that Little Jonathan Winery offers a vast selection of wines including chardonnay and merlot.

“It kind of came out of nowhere,” Jon explained.  “We were just going to do some private label stuff (for parties) and we did it, and people were like, `Hey, it's pretty nice.”

Jon , who already owns an energy drink company called Crunk Juice, said he chose to not to associate his stage name with his wine label because he wants to take a more serious approach.

“I wanted [to]  make it just a little bit more upscale than regular 'Lil Jon’,” said Jon.  “This is not no ghetto Boone's Farm; this is some real wine.”

Earlier this year, Lil Jon's record label, TVT Records, filed for bankruptcy.

The rapper claims his oft-delayed solo album Crunk Rock is complete and that he is waiting for his label to get back on its feet so he can release it.

“I want to get it out ASAP, but TVT has to figure out their business, and that's about all I can say,” said Jon.
