A friend of the woman who was allegedly shot by Remy Ma testified in Manhattan's State Supreme Court yesterday (March 11) that she was drunk on the night of the incident and didn’t see the Bronx rapper pull the trigger.
As reported earlier, Remy is accused of shooting Makeda Barnes-Joseph in her car when they got into a dispute over money after leaving a Manhattan nightspot in July 2007.
According to The New York Daily News, 25 year old Krystal Bolton testified Thursday that she was in a parked car next to Barnes-Joseph's car on the night of the shooting and did not see a clear view of the incident.
“I don't recall seeing [Remy] at all,” said Bolton. “I just remember a light flashing and me running to [Barnes-Joseph] on the ground.”
Two witnesses who have already testified in the ongoing trial claim they saw Remy go into Barnes-Joseph's car. Oluwole Ajudun testified Tuesday (March 11) that he saw Remy with a gun while Crystal Ricks said she did not see the rapper with a weapon.
Barnes-Joseph is expected to take the stand as early as today (March 14).

P>Jason Berland, Barnes-Joseph's lawyer, opened the trial Monday (March 10) saying that Remy intentionally shot his client and fled the scene.
Ivan Fisher, Remy's lawyer, argued that the incident was an accident and that Barnes-Joseph was twisting facts in hopes of gaining a large monetary settlement from Remy.
Remy is being charged with first-degree assault and witness intimidation. She was initially charged with attempted murder but the charges were dropped to assault after evidence revealed that the gun went off accidentally.
The witness tampering charges stem from an August 2007 attack on the boyfriend of a witness at a Bronx nightclub which prosecutors claim Remy orchestrated with the help of her male friends.
Remy, who has denied the charges, could face up to 25 years in prison if convicted. She is free on $250,000 bail.
