Compton rapper The Game has reportedly been released from the Los Angeles Twin Towers Correctional Facility after serving only eight days of a sixty day sentence stemming from a gun charge.
As reported earlier, The Game plead no contest to a felony charge of possession of a firearm in a school zone last month.
In June 2007, Game was hit with three felony charges including making criminal threats and possessing a firearm in a school zone, for allegedly punching a man and pointing a gun at him during a pick-up basketball game at South L.A.'s Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex in February of the same year.
Game's no contest plea was part of a plea deal and he was sentenced to 2 months in jail, 150 hours of community service and three years probation. The other two counts were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
Shawn Chapman Holley, Game's lawyer, confirmed to TMZ today (March 10) that the former G-Unit rapper is now out of jail.
Game is planning to drop his third solo album titled LAX later this year. The project is rumored to be his last.
