Various criminal charges filed against G-Unit's  Tony Yayo stemming from the 2007 assault of the teenage son of The Game’s manager, James Rosemond, were dismissed today (February 14).

Yayo was arrested and charged in March 2007 with assault, harassment and endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly attacking 14 year old Rosemond on a New York street with his entourage.

The G-Unit rapper would be freed on $5,000 bail and plead not guilty to the charges.

Last month, Lowell Fletcher , an associate of Yayo, revealed that he slapped Rosemond and Yayo pulled him away from the boy.

According to MTV News, the various charges against Yayo were dropped as part of a plea deal with the rapper pleading guilty to non criminal harassment. He will now have to do 10 days of community service.

Scott Leemon, Yayo's lawyer,  revealed that his client accepted the non criminal charge to avoid going to trial.

Tony Yayo did not hit anyone and would never do anything to harm a child,” Leemon told MTV. “All [he] admitted to doing was getting out of the car and glaring at the victim. Once he realized what Fletcher was doing, he went and grabbed Fletcher to pull him away from the victim.”

Fletcher, who is currently serving a 2 1/2-year sentence for drug possession, plead guilty to one misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child and had nine months  added to his current sentence.
