Jay-Z, who left his post as President of Def Jam Records last year, recently revealed that he is still on good terms with former boss, Antonio L.A. Reid.
Before his contract with Def Jam ended in December 2007, L.A. Reid and the label held negotiations with Jay-Z to keep him onboard.
During the talks, word leaked that Hov's demands were excessive and had cause a rift between him and Reid.
“It wasn't a hostile thing,” Jay-Z told MTV News at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night. “I was with L.A. last night. We still gonna continue to work on [projects], just not [with me] as the president of Def Jam. But everything is sweet.”
Jay-Z is still signed to Def Jam as an artist and owes the label one more album before becoming a free agent.
The rapper also revealed that the he recently shot a video for his next single off of American Gangster, “I Know”.

To be part of the contest, participants will have to created their own video version of Fat Joe's single "300 Brolic", and upload the video at http://votigo.com/fatjoe/
The winning video will be posted on Fat Joe's official MySpace page and the winner will get their choice of a meet-and-greet with Fat Joe or backstage passes to an upcoming show.
The winner will also receive signed copies of The Elephant in the Room and Me, Myself, and I.

DJ Khaled recently announced a new partnership between Def Jam Records and his record label, We The Best Music.
As part of their agreement, Def Jam will provide marketing and distribution for the upcoming debut album from rapper Ace, who is under the We The Best imprint.
A release date for Ace's album was not revealed.
