SS: A lot of people only heard of the St. Lunatics when Nelly came out, how long you been in this game?
A: We been in this since like ’93, we got our first deal with Professor Griff from Public Enemy… they had a pretty good production company…

SS: What role do you play in the group?
A: I’m like the big brother… I am the oldest so I give a lot of advice… I started the group after I got back from Atlanta and we been doin this ever since…

SS: When I am listenin to y’all the beats are the illest, who did beats on this album?
A: We got Jay E of course from Free City, Wally… he did my first single and my cousin Trife did a track on there…

SS: What is your favorite beat on the album?
A: I liked the beat from “No”, “I got this”…

SS: “I got this” I been hearing a lot about that track, what is that about?
A: Ohhh, it’s basically like Dirty I got this… you know this rap thang I can do this…I got Murphy Lee on there… it’s a lyrical track we just flowin’ braggin about our rap skillz and what not, we just cipherin’ it like we used to do back in the day… (Big Lee starts to spit some lyrics from the track, trust me its fire)

SS: What message are you trying to send with this album?
A: Heavy Starch goes back to how we wear our jeans in St. Louis… with heavy starch… but, also it represents some of the topics that I touch on… like in “Collection Plate” I talk about fake preachers, and in “Crucial” I get on casual sex… ju st trying to come from a different angle… I still got the party beats and all, you know I ain’t tryin’ to depress y’all but, I gotta acknowledge the stuff that’s out there…

SS: How would you describe your flowin’ style?
A: I’m more of a humorous type, I come with the punch lines… you know Murphy is the more metaphorical one and Nelly has the melodies… I like to joke around

SS: I heard that you have a radio show back home?
A: Yeah I got a show on Sunday from 6-10 but, its getting hard to do it now… usually I would have one of the Tics come in with me… I been promoting this album so I don’t really have time…

SS: Have you done any shows in Europe?
A: Nah not yet, we haven’t been flying lately we been kind of low key, but we will be going out there soon… we gotta do our Europe thang we got a lot of fans out there…

SS: Aight, well u know how Pink has that NBA promo, when are we gonna see the Tics representin’?
A: Well we gotta get that call… they haven’t called us yet… we would be glad to do it, you know Kiss and Styles (Jadakiss and Styles P from the LOX) did their thang… we was arguing about who had the best one… I was feelin Kiss… oh and Scarface did his thang with Steve Francis… I would love to do that

SS: How do you feel about Tiger Woods winning his third Masters?
A: I’m proud of him, doin’ his thing I think little kids need to see somebody doin’ things like that…His new game starts off with Nelly’s “#1” so he is representin’
