Sixshot: First off how do you feel about the release of your new album?

Lil’ Kim: I am very happy with the reception and I feel good.

Sixshot: How do you think you have grown from your first project to this album?

Lil’ Kim: I think you can basically pick up on the maturity yourself when you listen to the album. Its a growth in the lyrical ability, its a growth in the production ability, and in everything you can kind of see the direction that I am going.

Sixshot: When you came off on the Junior Mafia album you were hardcore whether it was on the hook or on a verse and you displayed your self as a lyricist above being just a female. Do you still think you stand out as being an emcee first then a female?

Lil’ Kim: I definitely want to be recognized as an emcee first then a female. I don't like when people just throw the fashion and label me as a fashion icon. No I am a fashion icon, but I am also the first female rapper to ever come out with the sexual talking and sexual rapping; also I am the queen of this and I get busy with what I do. Its not that I am just sexual, I am sexual but I can still rap.

Sixshot: From watching VH1 Driven we all got to see how much work you put in to writing and perfecting your rhymes. How do you think your work ethic has helped you in the game?< BR>

Lil’ Kim: I think that my work ethics had to be strong in all points, especially being around people like Puffy you learn good work ethics. He has good work ethics, but the only thing about working with Puffy is that I think he pushes too hard sometimes. But that's good cause sometimes you need that and one thing that I liked about working with him was that push push push; which was a good thing. But being a celebrity some times you just need some time to just sit, relax, and think. But overall it’s a good thing.

Sixshot: Whom would you speak on as being one of your most memorable collaborations? One performance that stands out is the one you did with Biggie on Life After Death, entitled Another.

Lil’ Kim: One of my favorites would have to be The Benjamins’; it had all of my favorite people on it.

Sixshot: Have you made any appearances on any mix-tapes lately?

Lil’ Kim: No I am not actually appearing on any, I am into mix-tapes though. I listen to them and I have done them. I done a couple before I came out this time around and one thing that I am about to do is start doing some more. I got some stuff coming that I am going to be putting on mix tapes.

Sixshot: Do we see another Junior Mafia project in the future?

Lil’ Kim: As of right now no, I can't tell the future but right now no.

Sixshot: We have seen Lil’ Kim come into the game and evolve. Now is there any talent that Lil’Kim is trying to develop and bring into the game?

Lil’ Kim:Of course, I have the Bee Hive which is gonna consist of a couple artist in one big mafia package.

Sixshot: Would you like to elaborate on some of these artists?

Lil’ Kim:I have Lil’ Shanice who has been with me for a long time and she one of my first little female artist and she is 10. So we got the lil female Bow-Wow, we call her tiny Kim. Then we got the advocates, they’re from Harlem. Then we have my boy Reece he’s from Brooklyn I have 2 male artists I-trice and Glace from Chicago. I got a guy named Bunky representing the Gotti Kids and he’s from the Bronx. So I have every borough kind of locked down. I just have anybody from Queens yet.

Sixshot: How do you feel about being a positive female role model? In society we see a lot of females that are uncomfortable about their sexuality. With you we see that you are comfortable with yourself and that you are able to express your self as being sexy while at the same time have self respect. Now how important is it to you to maintain this image for young females?

Lil’ Kim: It’s important, but unfortunately I never proclaimed to be a role model. But unfortunately since I am a role model so I have to be that kinda spokes women; so you have to kinda watch what you say and do but you still gotta be you. Its very hard cause you walk a very thin line.

Sixshot: Besides music what else are you into? We have seen you do a couple of acting roles, so is acting something that you are trying to get more into?

Lil’ Kim: Very much so, that's my future.

Sixshot: Now what role would you like to play?

Lil’ Kim: I want to do everything. I just don't want to say that I just want to do comedy cause I am not really into comedy like that. I like comedy, but don't get me wrong that's you have to have that in your life but that's not the main thing I want to do. I have done all comedy so far. I really want to do horror, a drama, and an action packed flick.

Sixshot: In acting who would you like to costar with and if you had a larger role in a film would you still like to contribute to the soundtrack of that motion picture?

Lil’ Kim: Definitely, one of my biggest goals is to do a movie soundtrack all done on Queen Bee. I would also love to work with Jada Pinket.

Sixshot: Now that you have established your own record company, will we see you branch off into other business ventures?

Lil’ Kim: My major thing is to put out my clothing line. The name of my clothing line is Hollyhood and I got three major deals on the table for it. One thing I decided to do was hold off on it because my clothing line is something that I am gong to be involved in a 150% because I am so involved into clothing. They call me the fashion icon, but that's me all day any way cause all I do is shop shop and I put a lot of work and effort into my fashion so I want to take my time with it. I think a lot of people who have come to me with it are stuck on lil Kim and want me to rush rush rush and I'm not about that.

Sixshot: What type of clothing line were you planning on releasing, a fall, spring, winter, or summer line?

Lil’ Kim: We are looking to stuff in store for fall back to school, but if that doesn't work you may see something out for new years. Like I said I don’t want to rush it and one thing that I learned in having meetings with a whole bunch of clothing lines is that is that in order to get prepared for a clothing line to be released you need a good 6 to 8 months lee-way.

Sixshot: Where do you see yourself 5 years from now in terms of your position in the industry and as a person?

Kim: I'm looking to be the female puffy.

Sixshot: Do you get the chance to reach your fans that are in other regions besides NY, such as the west coast and overseas?

Lil’ Kim: I really don’t and its something that's really unfortunate. This time around we agreed that we wanna spend more time overseas, but with the whole state of the economy from the war its terrible to even take chances over there. I'm not afraid and I will still go, but the SARS out break is really messing things up with that situation but in the future I would love to tour in Los Angeles and overseas.

Sixshot: Whom can we expect to see on a queen bee tour?

Lil’ Kim: Definitely my Bee Hive. I don't really want to put it out there yet, but I would like to tour with people that I have a chemistry with like Mobb Deep, Mr. Cheeks, Twista, and people who can be apart of my show.

Sixshot: How do you go about finding your beats?

Lil’ Kim: I pick all my own beats along with an A&R is like my consultant. I pick a beat and if he agrees on the same beat I know its a hit. If he doesn’t like it either one of two things will happen, ill do it first to see how it comes out or we’ll trash it cause it ain’t that hot.

Sixshot: Who are some of your favorite producers to work with?

Lil’ Kim: I love Timberland, I love Pharrell, and there is this guys who worked on my album named Scott Storch, I think he is the next big thing. He also worked on Beyonce’s album.

Sixshot: In your videos we see you do a lot of dancing; do you choreograph any of your own dances?

Lil’ Kim: For my video The Jump Off that’s just me dancing, but on the last album with How Many Licks and No Matter What People Say we actually worked with a choreographer. But what the choreographer actually did was put me into a room and told me to dance to my own music and I danced. She kinda took my moves and incorporated them with her own.

Sixshot: We have seen your ability as a lyricist, now do you write for any body?

Lil’ Kim: I used to. I write for my little girl artist some times. I write for her here and there but sometimes she will have an idea that she wants to talk about. That’s very good for her that she is very musically inclined.
